Consign POSTerms of Service
These terms govern use of Consign POS ("the service"), a point of sale for consignment, antique and resale shops. By installing the app from the GoDaddy Poynt App Center or otherwise using the service, you agree to them on behalf of your business.
The service
Consign POS provides inventory, register, consignor payout, labelling, clienteling and reporting tools, integrated with the GoDaddy Poynt terminal you already own. Card payments are processed by GoDaddy Poynt under your agreement with them — Consign POS never touches card data and is not a payment processor.
Subscriptions, trials and billing
- Subscriptions are purchased through the GoDaddy Poynt App Center and billed monthly by GoDaddy under their billing terms.
- New shops get a 7-day free trial at full feature spec. Billing begins only when the trial ends.
- You may cancel at any time through the App Center; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing cycle, per App Center policy.
- When a subscription ends, access closes but your data is kept intact (see the Privacy Policy), so resubscribing restores your shop as it was. You may request a full export or permanent deletion instead.
Your data
Your shop's records — inventory, sales, consignors, customers, photographs — are yours. We claim no ownership of them and use them only to run the service, as described in the Privacy Policy.
Your responsibilities
- Keep staff credentials confidential and use the built-in roles: each member of staff should have their own account.
- Obtain any consent required before recording a customer's contact details, and honour their requests — the service records consent and supports erasure, but collecting lawfully is the shop's responsibility.
- Use the service only for lawful trade, and not to attempt to access another shop's data or to probe, overload or disrupt the service.
AI-assisted appraisal
The photo capture feature produces drafts, not decisions: suggested names, conditions and prices, with links to the comparable sales they were based on. Nothing is saved without a member of staff reviewing it, and pricing remains entirely the shop's judgment and responsibility. Suggestions are not valuations, appraisals for insurance, or guarantees of authenticity or resale value.
Availability and support
We aim to keep the service available around the clock but do not guarantee uninterrupted operation. The register is designed to keep selling even when integrations are down. Support is available at support@consignpos.com.
Disclaimers and liability
The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising out of the service is limited to the subscription fees you paid for the service in the twelve months before the claim arose. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for the acts of third-party services including GoDaddy Poynt payment processing.
Termination
We may suspend or terminate access for material breach of these terms, non-payment (as reported by App Center billing), or use that endangers the service or other shops. Where practical, we will warn you first.
Changes
We may update these terms; material changes will be posted on this page with a new date. Continued use after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance.
